Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Let's close out this topic by looking at where our wrong thoughts come from.
I know that it seems obvious, but we wrestle against Satan to take our thoughts captive. Even though it seems like we are fighting our own thoughts, and our thoughts may be about others' transgressions against us....
This verse says we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood. No matter how we feel (betrayed, angered, threatened...). We are not actually fighting with ourselves or others. We have to remember that our enemy, our tempter, is the Devil. It is always the Devil. And he has no place in us. So we need to take our thoughts captive and continue to kick the devil out of our lives and especially our thoughts.
