Eight Wonderful Things About My Husband

1. Riky is a finisher. When he puts his mind to a task, he will finish it no matter how much time he has to invest in it. He built me a pantry a few weeks ago that took all of his Saturday without batting an eye at his lost weekend.
2. He is considerate of me and my feelings. He never tells me something doesn't look good that I want to wear, he just will say that he likes something else better.
3. He sets forth a good example of a man by being respectful. He respects his mother and father, both their opinions and their feelings.
3again He has utmost respect for our pastor. He values his input into all aspects of our lives.
4. He makes time for the boys. He spent part of our evening tonight playing Little People with Jordan and Jeffrey. (He found an interesting way to take an elephant and a rhino to church to learn about God)
5. He is committed to our church and to homeschooling. Often times in our 7 years of being saved, I have been discouraged in both areas. He lifts me up, encourages me to keep at it, and continues to lead our family in the best ways he knows how.
6. Riky is wonderfully affectionate and playful with me. He does not allow the boys to think that it is icky or gross for a husband and wife to kiss or hug each other. The boys just automatically know that man and wife should sit together, hold hands, touch and smile at each other. He loves to tease me and is absolutely amused if he can make me laugh so hard that I snort!
7. He loves to laugh. His laughter booms through our house and our church often. Pastor recently made a dig at us during service and followed it up with "I just love to hear them laugh". That was a huge compliment to my husband.
8. He is thoughtful. He loves to do little things for me, the boys, or others.
9. He has the gift of helps. He is absolutely willing to give up his plans or weekends off to help others move or remodel or even to help me babysit for someone who needs a break.
10. He loves children and doesn't ever talk down to them. He is often called on to play with the children at church before or after service. It is not surprising to see him out there in his suit and tie playing Red Rover or Freeze Tag.
Well, I jumbled my list up some, and couldn't stick to just 8, but there are some of the reasons that I love Riky. He is also very handsome, loving, kind, thankful and giving, I will probably come back and edit this over and over as I think of more things, but this is a start.

That's supposed to say, "Sounds like you have a super great guy to spend the rest of your life with". Sorry about that.
