Holy Cow...er.... Bison

Ok, so it's been three years since my last post.  We aren't even going to go there.  Suffice it to say that Facebook took the place of my blog and my life got Ca-Ray-Zy.  Throw in a little bit of lazy and you have all the reasoning that you need to know why my blog has been stagnant.
     Moving on.
Last week I took a trip for my new job.  I am a mystery shopper and compliance auditor for Exxon, Cenex, and Sinclair.  Along with mystery shopping for some IGA's and Lowes... I have the potential to turn this into a full time job.  If I wanted to.  Which I don't.  Right now "working"  one day a week and travelling monthly or quarterly is perfect for me.  The hardest part of this whole thing is sitting down and debriefing all of the shops.  There is just not enough time in the day to finish them all without them going overdue.  For example... The last trip I took I traveled 1000 miles and did 25 shops over the course of 2 1/4 days.  I am supposed to debrief the visits by midnight on the day I did them.  Yeah Right.  I did 17 the first day and if you figure that debriefing takes 20- 30 minutes each shop.  Well, you do the math.  Im-poss-ible!
I was able to borrow a laptop from a friend (cause the screen is broken on mine) and get some of the work done... but then the Jacuzzi in my room was calling my name and I gave in and watched Pawn Stars from the Jacuzzi!!

That was fabulous, but surprisingly not the best part of my trip.
Neither was finding the end of the rainbow.  It's right there!  If you follow the brightest one down to the hillside, you will see that it doesn't go away until it is on the ground by the side of the road.  Right There!!

Neither was finding this beautiful brick silo and old barn.
The best part of my trip was the BISON!  Travelling through Yellowstone National Park I saw 393 Bison!  Seriously.

I also saw 48 elk and 6 big horn sheep.  35 white tail deer, and a chipmunk.
It also wasn't this, although cool!
The highlight of my trip was seeing this calf.
And the time that I spent with the Lord. That was the best part.  I worked on my spanish CDs and listened to a little music, but mostly I left the radio off and spent time in prayer.   At one point I had seen 292 Bison.  I was praying that I could see just 8 more to make it to 300.  The Lord blessed me with being able to see 101 more!  It was an amazing time of silence and prayer for 2 whole days.  I don't know when I have been able to have that kind of quality time before.  Most of the time when I have alone time in the car, I try to call someone.  This time I had very sketchy service and for the majority of on day, I had no service at all.  It forced me to focus.  I focused on the Lord, and counting everything that he put in my path.  Literally.

I guess I took a few pictures too!
