We have taken in a 5 year old girl and a 3 1/2 year old boy. Things are going great so far. I can see that we may have some problems with the two of them getting along with each other, but I don't see anything too big. They just don't like to share with each other and it seems whoever can cry first when they disagree is the one who has always won in the past. It has only happened once, when they were taking a bath. The little girl wanted all the toys and then when I was turned around she started crying saying her brother was being mean. I basically ignored it and the tears dried up in no time.
They love their room. I have such an assortment of odds and ends, I thought that it would end up looking cheesy, but I will take pix soon, it's not too bad. The most expensive thing in the whole room was the crib mattress that I bought today for a toddler bed (hand-me-down). Otherwise, I think that I have spent about $20 on the whole room. Paint included. I love friends who are getting rid of stuff!!!! Josh and Sherri have been never ending providers of baby stuff that I haven't gotten a chance to use yet, but I will. It's pretty exciting, really.
God answers prayers, sometimes turtle slow, sometimes lightning fast, but he always answers!!!
