Bed Bug

This picture is an indictment against me, but I decided to post it anyway. Evangelist Dr. Roy Branson is in town this week for our church's 12 year anniversary meetings. We will have church Sunday through Wednesday this week. Every weekend we are busy, but this one was even more so than usual. We had Soulwinning on Saturday from 10-12, I had the Preteen meeting from 12-2:30, then we came home to Cita having her first puppy at around 3:30pm and her last at about 7:00. Riky was doing yard work and burning some brush in the back, so we didn't have dinner until 7:30 that evening~ when the burn pile was no longer blazing, just smoldering.
Then on Sunday Riky drove the church bus (we have to leave our house by 7:50 to be to the bus barn on time) we got home ~after dropping off the bus kids and then the bus~around 2:00...then back to church at 5:45 for a commitment that Riky has prior to the start of church. We got home around 9:00.

I had every intention of cleaning house and folding laundry yesterday, then going grocery shopping before church at 7. Riky had a feeling that he wasn't going to be off work in time to get the shopping done before church, so I decided to go in to town to just get it done.

The shopping is done but the laundry was piled on my bed, unfolded. So when Riky and I were going to bed last night, we found this little infestation problem. Not only did we have a mountain of laundry on our bed, but this little cutie had snuck up the stairs and was fast asleep under all of it. He is one sneaky little critter. Riky flicked on the light and it took him a minute to see Jordan, which startled him even more. Then when Riky called me to "come see what is in our bed", I was reluctant to come, because I know that laundry on the bed drives him nuts. The whole way into the bedroom I was reminding him that I left for groceries at 11:30 and then was still putting them away at 4:30 and then his parents stopped by and we invited them for dinner, then we had to get ready for church...

....justifying the mountain.

The little mole under it startled me too!

This picture was taken in the dark, while he was sound asleep. When Riky carried him back to bed, he said that if our heat ever went out, all we would have to do is pile all of our clothing on top of us and we would stay toasty warm. Way to look at the bright side, Honey. See, there is always a silver lining ;)
Good thing I didn't fold all of that, we never would have had first hand knowledge of this little fact :)
